Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of talent management and transformational leadership on work effectiveness, directly or indirectly, through employee engagement mediation. It was conducted in the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for Large Taxpayers- Jakarta, Indonesia. Data collection is done by purposive sampling of employees with main tasks directly related to the organization's core business. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data processing uses Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results show that talent management and transformational leadership have a significant and positive effect on work effectiveness, either directly or indirectly, through employee engagement mediation. In addition, employee engagement acts as a partial mediation between the independent and dependent variables. This research is expected to encourage the increased application of talent management policies and transformational leadership in the public sector in Indonesia.
